Well the weekend before Epic was as one can be expect - a mad panic of worry, preparation and a bit of riding thrown in! My bike went to the VERY capable Summit Cycles (www.summitcycles.co.za) for it pre-Epic service - thankfully it was without any major work requiring to be done. So on Saturday we set off for an easy 3hr ride to make sure the bikes were working 100%. Mine was perfect - my partner had a few gear changes and shock pressure that needed to be sorted out. So hopefully that will all be done today. In the end, our 3hr ride turned into a 4hr ride - but that was no great shakes - all managed very civilised! Sunday we squeezed in a quick spinning class to keep the legs going - a great class I must add!

Well today, the kit arrived from Anatomic - although I have not seen it yet - my partner says it looks really good and the quality is perfect. Can't wait to see it - he is dropping it off tonight - so will take some pics tonight and post them here tonight/2morrow.

The remainder of this week is going to be very easy - going to have some rest days over the next few days - lots of stretching! As far as diet goes - I will be keeping it very lean and including the good ol' potatoes with every meal!

I am now really looking forward to it - especially now that my packing is 90% completed! Not to much to do other than try and get some good nights sleep!
