So finally made it to Banff after literally years if thinking about this race and months and months of planning. The journey went really smoothly and my bike arrived in one piece. The shuttle to The Y was filled with a couple of other racers but conversation was limited. However, arriving at the unofficial race headquarters, was a sea of Tour Divide activity, with bikes of all shapes and sizes been assembled,  introductions and reaquaintences being established. A mild panic when I thought I had left my bike tool in Toronto was my only hiccup, but it was later located in another bag. I have taken up a residence in my bunkhouse with 7 other riders and bikes so its a bit chaotic. So much so that I just snuck out to go and have a quiet bite to eat. Tomorrow will be spent fine tuning my bike setup, meeting more riders and relaxing. I will take a short ride just to make sure that everything is 100% for the Great Depart on Friday morning!
