TOUR DIVIDE

The Tour Divide is an annual mountain biking race traversing the length of the Rocky Mountains, from Canada to the Mexican border. Following the 2,745-mile (4,418 km) Great Divide Mountain Bike Route, it is an extreme test of endurance, self-reliance and mental toughness. The race format is strictly self-supported, and it is not a stage race - the clock runs continuously from the start until riders cross the finish line.

Hi Roons
ReplyDeleteCool kit! I'm very jealous of your it but more of your sponsorship. We tried really hard to get a sponsor/s but to no avail. Most companies used the downturn as an excuse. Bit gutting really.

I've now got two key zones to train in. The first is the Basic Endurance with HR between 111 - 130 bpm and the other is Race Intensity with HR between 151 - 163 bpm (still need to convert to %of max). The advice is to avoid the Aerobic Zone between them as there is no benefit there for my training needs. But I also need to do some work on Sprints/Intervals at 165+ bpm.
