Out on the ride this morning there was a definite air of excitement, and it had nothing to do with the lower morning temperatures! With only 10 days to go until the ABSA Cape Epic there is a definite increase in the 'panic' to get work all sorted out before I head down to Cape Town next Thursday. I am dropping off my bike today for the pre-service - hopefully not an expensive one - as the costs are certainly mounting around this event. I need to get a few more basic essentials that will ensure that I am comfortable and organised. I am trying very hard not to get caught up in the Cape Epic purchase storm which hits bike shops round about now!

Everything is ready from a training point of view - the last couple of rides before the Epic will be to just enjoy myself on the bike and make sure that the legs, body and soul on in top condition going into next weekend. Next weekend... that is just around the corner!
